in the Mission-Abbotsford area, which is near
the West Coast, and very close to Vancouver,

guild having been founded in 1995. We have our
own studio, which we sublet from the Mission
Arts Council at MAGie, the centre for visual
and performing arts.
Our purpose:

and technical development, and historical awareness
of weaving, spinning and related crafts.

knowledge, skills and ideas among members.
To emphasize the importance of achieving and
maintaining the highest possible standards of
excellence in all work.
To educate the community through demonstrations
and displays.

to the art and craft of weaving and spinning,
etc. and to make these available to members
through the Guild library.
To strive to be self-sustaining.

projects, an ongoing one being the Mission Tartan.
On April 30 we have invited the Fenn Valley
Spin- In participants to drop in at the Arts
Centre for refreshments and some of us will
join them the next day at Fenn Lodge. On June
5, we will be setting up a booth at the Mission
Children’s Festival at Heritage Park.

month, from 7-9pm at MAGie, 33529 1st Ave, Mission
