The geographical area covered by the Prairie Handspinners Guild is a 150 mile radius of Billings, MT.There are 50 members in the guild. Each member receives a monthly newsletter, edited by Betsy Campen .
The Handspinners meet on the first Saturday afternoon of every month (September though May) from 12:30 to 4:30 at various locations announced in the newsletter and the Billings Gazette. Hands-on spinning, exchange of ideas, and programs are held. Special meeting times include a Christmas pot-luck and gift exchange, special summer meetings for dyeing, wool combing, spinning specialty fibers, and an ice cream social for all members.
