Regina Weavers and Spinners Guild

The Regina Weavers and Spinners Guild was registered on June 23, l977, but its roots go back as far as 1952, when the first meeting of the Regina Weavers Guild was held. Currently, the guild membership includes spinners, weavers and knitters from Regina and the local area.

The Objectives of the guild are:

  • To encourage and promote the practice and knowledge of the crafts of weaving, spinning and dyeing.
  • To have a fellowship of persons interested in these crafts, not only skilled craftspersons but those who enjoy them and wish to learn and share their knowledge.

RWSG holds monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month, 7:30 p.m. from September to June at the Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre, 2420 Elphinstone Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. The guild also has special interest groups which meet to study spinning, weaving and surface design. Anyone is welcome to drop into a meeting or workshop. Please call ahead to confirm dates, times and location. Regina Weavers and Spinners Guild, P.O. Box 1052, Stn. Main, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, S4P 3B2.
