The
Spokane Handweavers' Guild is a non-profit membership
organization for handweavers, spinners, basketmakers,
and related fiber artists. The guild holds membership
in the Association of Northwest Weavers' Guilds
and the Handweavers' Guild of America. We have
over 60 members, drawn from the area around
Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, Washington. Visitors
are welcome!
The Spokane Handweavers' Guild has much to
offer its members, including:
Monthly Meetings: The second
Tuesday of each month from September to June
@ 6 pm. We meet at the Orchard Crest Retirement
community, top floor meeting room at 222 S.
Evergreen, Spokane Valley.
Study Groups: these small
groups focus on areas of interest to members.
Exhibits and Demonstrations are sponsored by
the guild at various times to promote weaving
and to educate the community. Look for us at
the Spokane Farmers' Market and at the Spokane
Highland Games.
Library: books and periodicals
are available for loan to members.
Workshops: two or more workshops are sponsored
by the guild to educate members in a variety
of techniques and subjects regarding the fiber
arts.
