The
Webfoot Weavers' and Fiber Artists' Guild has
16 members residing in Curry and Del Norte (Oregon)
Counties.
Our goals are to promote an on-going interest
in textile and fiber arts through education,
to establish a comradery of textile and fiber
artists to develop skills, appreciation and
enjoyment of weaving, spinning, knitting and
other fiber arts. We network with other fiber
artists of all interests and encourage individual
expertise in their chosen craft.
Membership is open to anyone upon paying dues.
Annual dues are $60 payable semi-annually.
Member benefits include use of the Guild library,
use of rental equipment owned by the Guild,
informative programs put on by our members,
and participation in study groups. We meet on
the first Wednesday of each month, from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. Call one of our members to find out
meeting location. A business meeting is held
first followed by a time of showing and sharing
and then a program. We invite you to visit us,
bring a sack lunch and stay the day.
Our guild sponsors the Fiber to Fabric Festival
during the Memorial Day weekend at the VFW Hall
in Brookings. We offer spaces for animals and
vendors.
We also demonstrate weaving and spinning at
the Del Norte and Curry County Fairs and at
a local event called Festival of the Arts at
the Brookings port during August.
