I learned to weave at Oregon State University under the guidance of Jean
Scorgie in 1969. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Clothing, Textiles
and Related Arts and a Master of Science in Textiles. I have taught weaving
since 1974 when I moved to Parksville, B. C. For the past 18 years I have
been fascinated with Tapestry and in particular, French Tapestry. I have
studied with Jean Pierre Larochette, Yael Lurie, Archie Brennan, Susan
Maffei and taken classes with Sarah Swett and James Koehler. Prior to that
multi harness captured my attention.
I teach workshops in: Beginners 4 Harness Weaving, Beginners and
Intermediate Tapestry Weaving, French Tapestry, Colour and Design for Fiber
Artists, and Natural Dyeing including Indigo Dyeing.
