Author of the books, Line in Tapestry and Shaped Tapestry teaches all levels of tapestry techniques, design, color theory, Russian Punch embroidery, silk papermaking and journalling for the textile artist. Kathe has been a tapestry weaver since 1979. She is a dreamer, writer, tapestry list mistress, instructor, sometimes historian, journaler, co-owner of Fine Fiber Press & Studio. She writes about tapestry, tapestry technique, journaling, symbolism, fiber arts, felting,and Russian Old Believers. She has degrees from Oregon College of Arts & Crafts/Marylhurst (BA,) Oregon State U (MAIS) in Craft Design, History, CTRA, and Economics.
