I have been fascinated with tablet weaving
(card weaving) for over 30 years and have shared my
enthusiasm for this ancient technique through workshops,
lectures, study groups and written articles. I’m
a founding member of the Tablet Weavers International
Newsletter and have written articles for Threads, Shuttle,
Spindle, Dyepot and recently co-authored a monograph
entitled “The Willful Pursuit of Complexity”.
I am still discovering new and challenging aspects to
this craft which requires little more than a set of
cards, threads and the weaver’s hands. The strong,
intricately patterned bands that result are ideal for
many uses, from jewelry to sashes to garment embellishment.
