My main focus is warp patterning, which requires
weaving with more than one warp. I work with turned
drafts and free-form woven embellishments. I also
do a lot of ply-splitting (much more portable than
weaving).

- For intermediate to advanced weavers; explores
the use of two warps for weaving turned drafts and
loom-controlled embellishments. 3 days

Stripes With an Attitude
- For intermediate to advanced weavers: Explores
the roles color, texture, pattern, and structure
play in designing stripes. Includes the use of supplementary
warps. 3 days

Ply-splitting -
Explores the basics of ply-splitting with an eye
toward creating one-of-a-kind necklaces or vessels.
No prior experience necessary. 1, 2, or 3 days

Multiple Warp Design -
A technical program, which describes many ways to
use supplementary, warps, from turned drafts to
loom-controlled embellishments.

The Woven Code
- A technical program which explains how to do name
drafts in overshot and other structures.

Design Tricks -
For all levels; a user-friendly discussion of color
theories, proportion, and coordination of design
elements to help weavers develop their own design
style.

Weaver’s Mailbox -
For all levels; a large collection of handwoven
cards is shared, along with suggestions for card
design, materials, and construction.
I will travel just about anywhere and any time of
year. I have many years of teaching experience in
various venues - guilds, conferences, and the Arrowmont
School of Arts and Crafts. I have written many articles
for the major weaving publications.
